中澳社会政策论坛(2008) 主题:“地方政府与社会政策” 邀请函
一、会议目标 中澳社会政策论坛是由西澳大学孔子学院和华东理工大学社会与公共管理学院共同发起。论坛一年一次,分别在澳大利亚佩斯与中国上海举行。论坛旨在通过政府领域的比较研究,推进中澳之间的理解与合作。 首次论坛将于2008年9月29-30日在澳大利亚西澳大学孔子学院召开。论坛的主题是:“地方政府与社会政策”。会议将邀请多名海内外专家担任演讲嘉宾,中澳双方的著名演讲者将出席。中澳双方的会议代表将包括学者、政府官员、社区工作者等。 本次论坛是作为中澳双方长期合作的第一步。我们的目标是在中西方社会政策、社会福利、社会问题、社会工作等方面求同存异,相互借鉴,以推进社会进步与社会和谐。本次论坛安排了地方参观考察。欢迎学界广大同仁与会。
二、会议时间、地点 1.会议日期:2008年9月29-30日 2.会议地点:澳大利亚 佩斯市 西澳大学孔子学院 3.注册期限:2008年8月10日; 4.论文提交最后期限:2008年8月15日 5.注册费:150澳元(约1000 元RMB,包括会议资料、茶点、用餐,往返交通费和住宿费自理)
三、会议初步议程 1.日程安排 9月28日(星期日), 下午:报到注册 9月29 日(星期一), 开幕式,主题演讲 9月30 日(星期二), 论坛和分组讨论,闭幕式 10月1日(星期三), 地方参观考察 10月5日(星期日), 上午:会议代表返回 2.拟举办的分论坛: 社会政策比较、社会福利、社会工作、社会问题、社区发展、地方政府行为、非营利组织、农村社会发展、城乡移民等。 3.会议工作语言:中、英文
四、论文要求 1.参会论文需具有学术性、前瞻性,并尚未在国内外公开发表;也可先提交论文摘要。 2.论文以中文或英文的Word 文档方式提交,其中应包括: (1)标题、作者姓名、工作单位、职称及职务、联系方式; (2)中英文摘要和关键词,中文摘要300 字左右、关键词3-5个; (3)正文以8000 字左右为宜; (4)参考文献。 3.有意参加本次研讨会者,请提交论文或摘要,经专家评审后,再发给正式参会邀请函。 4.论文请以电子邮件形式提交给会议筹备组,以便装订成册;录用与否均不退稿,请作者自留底稿。 5.文责作者自负。 6.征稿截至日期:2008 年8月15日

China-Australia Social Policy Forum 2008 Local Government and Social Policy

Ⅰ.The Objectives of the Symposium The ‘China-Australia Social Policy Forum’ is initiated by the Confucius Institute at The University of Western Australia and the School of Social and Public Administration at the East China University of Science and Technology. It is an annual event alternating between Perth and Shanghai. The Forum seeks to promote understanding and collaboration between China and Australia through comparative studies on governments. The inaugural Forum will be held at the Confucius Institute at The University of Western Australia from 29–30 September 2008. The theme is ‘Local Government and Social Policy’. Prominent speakers from this field from both China and Australia will be invited to speak. Delegates including scholars, government officials, and community workers from both Australia and China will attend. As the first step of our long-term academic cooperation, the aim of this symposium would be seeking common ground while reserving differences in social policies, social welfare, social problems, social work, etc, so as to promote social progress and social harmony. We are also planning to make a several-day field trip to some sites where both overseas and domestic participants can better understand local governments and social policies in Australia. Colleagues in academic circle are invited, and general participants are also welcome.
Ⅱ.Time & Venue 1.Time: 29–30 September 2008 (29 September–5 October is a designated ‘Golden Week’ holiday period in China celebrating National Day). The beginning of Registration: 1 Pm, 28th October. 2.Venue: Confucius Institute at The University of Western Australia, Perth, Australia 3.The deadline of registration is August 10, 2008. 4.The paper must be submitted before August 15, 2008 5.Registration Fee: $A150(About ¥1000 RMB, Covering the expenses for references, refreshments and meals, not including traffic and lodging fee). The Symposium Organizing Committee will be able to provide lodging for other participants at affordable price. However, as the capacity of the lodging facility is limited, we accept on “first come, first served”. Ⅲ.Symposium Schedule, tentatively planned 1.Symposium Schedule 28th September, (Sun,), Afternoon: Registration 29th September, (Mon,) Opening Ceremony, Keynote and Prominent Speech 30th September (Tue,), Plenary and Thematic Sessions, Closing Ceremony 1st October, (Wed,), Field Trip 5th October, (Sun,), Morning: Leaving for home. 2.Scheme for Forums: Social policy; Social Welfare; Social Work; Social Problem; Community development; Local government Behavior; NPO or NGO; Rural Social Development; Urban-rural Migration. 3.Working Language:Chinese; English. The official language of the symposium will be English. In all the plenary sessions and some of the thematic sessions, simultaneous interpretation will be provided. Ⅳ.Attentions for Papers 1.The papers forwarded must be academic, prospective and not published at home and abroad; the paper abstract can be forwarded in advance. 2.WORD documents of papers(in English and Chinese) are needed, including: (1)Title, Name, Unit, Post or Position, Contact Information. (2)Abstract about 300 words and 3 to 5 Key Words in Chinese and English. (3)The text should be about 8000 words. (4)References. 3.Participants must forward papers or abstracts. An official invitation letter can be got if the papers or abstracts pass the experts’ evaluation. 4.Please send the paper to the preparatory group by email; the original paper will not be sent back, please keep it. 5.The author must be responsible for his or her paper. 6.The paper must be submitted before August 15, 2008
